Challenge 26 - So Fresh Fresh!
For Challenge 26, Team Lansing was tasked with cleaning up a local park.

Team Lansing Gets Tats for Challenge 25 -...
For Challenge #25, we had to have one member of the team get a temporary tattoo of our team hashtag, #lanchevysxsw
And in honor of Texas, we went big and had not one, but 2 team members get tattoos!
Tiffany Wood brings the finger guns tattoos a-blazing.
Betsy Weber gets the classic tattoo across her knuckles.
Bonus points for 2 sets of tattoos?

Challenge 24 - Welcome Me, Welcome You!
Oh, the places you’ll go! On our trip, we got to see a good portion of the United States!
We visited the crossroads of the US in Indiana.
After that we headed through the Land of Lincoln in Illinois.
We played some air guitar in Tennessee.
We lounged around in Arkansas (they had the nicest Welcome Center on the trip. Fireplace FTW)
And, lastly, we messed with Texas.

Challenge 23 Completed - King of Pez
Challenge 23 for Team Lansing was to get a Pez dispenser that represents a state we pass through.
We got the King of Pez in Memphis, Tennessee! Jumpsuit Elvis FTW!
Sadly the giant Pez does not come with giant Pez candy!
Bonus points for a Pez dispenser that sings?!

Challenge 22 Completed - Wifi in Surprising Places
For our next challenge, we had to find and get a pic of the most rundown place that offers Wifi.
We found this beauty in a blown out polebarn in Rockwall, Texas!

Homerun! Team Lansing knocked Challenges 18, 19, 20, and 21 out of the park!
Here are magnets from the states we drove thru.
We also picked up tacky postcards and 10 brochures of activities and adventures.
And, last but not least, we slid into home base with 5 small town newspapers.

Challenge 17 - Mess with Texas!
Oh, we’ll mess with Texas. And, they’ll like it!
For Challenge 17 we had to ‘Mess with Texas.’ But, we couldn’t break the law.
Team Lansing calls Shenanigans on the *whole* state of Texas! Oh, and we’ll throw in some downward ‘hook ‘em horns’ too.

Challenge 16 - Take the Shirt off our Backs
Team Lansing rolled into the Sulphur Springs, Texas Goodwill to literally donate the shirt off our backs to complete Challenge 16.
Also, thanks to Ari Adler, Becky Johns and Delta Dental for the toothbrushes! They kept Team Lansing’s smiles bright and shiny plus we donated some to the Sulphur Springs Goodwill!

Challenge 14 - Strong-Arming Your Employees
Team Lansing has been practicing for months for Arm Wrestling challenge. We had to arm wrestle a diner chef and WIN!
For Challenge 14, all that practice paid off for team member Kyle Mulka! Fame and glory!
Oh, and I love the diner manager strong-arming her employees!

Challenge 13 - Dinner is on Team Lansing!
Team Lansing wrapped up another challenge in Carlilse, Arkansas.
We visited the Sonic drive-thru (technically a drive in). Our challenge was to pay for the meals of people in the two cars behind you….
People were happy to have dinner on us, but they both asked, ‘Why would you do that?!’ To which we responded , “Why wouldn’t we?!”

Challenge #12 - Who's Awesome? This Guy!
Who’s got the best beard in Prescott, Arkansas? This guy!
And, he told me he “didn’t have a beard anymore” as he had just cut it off after growing it for two years!
Challenge 12 is complete! Devise awesome awards for strangers. Done and done!
We also gave out awards for ‘The Best Earrings in Arkansas” and “The Best Samantha Ever”
Challenge #11 Complete - Custom Chevy
Forget crazy paint jobs, this Chevy was delightfully decorated in honey and pecans! Challenge 11 is Complete: Find and take a picture of the most uniquely customized Chevy Vehicle.
And, Southern Hospitality is still alive! Sam Malone sent us on our way with some pecans. Thank you!

Challenge #9 and #10 Complete - Service Story +...
We stopped in Carlisle, Arkansas tonight at a Sonic for a quick break. We met the owner and she shared with us about an interesting customer story and showed us her new Chevy Malibu which she loves!

In Search of the King...
We received our challenge for Day 2 of our road trip to Austin. When we checked in our hotel. We had to use a QR Code reader to get our clue.
The clue led us to a Twitter account that said, “Something to ponder as u drive.. Is the king of rock & roll still alive? Your next clue at the land of grace… “

Team Lansing - Challenge #4 Started
Crossing over the border from Michigan into Indiana, we started another challenge - “Take a picture of all the funniest signs you can find”.
This sign was just too good to pass up! We giggled about it for miles!
Team Lansing - Challenge #3 Complete
We stopped by the White Tail Deer Hall of Fame in Michigan today to complete Challenge #3 - “Bring back a souvenir from the most obscure museum possible”. We picked up a deer antler! Now if only we could mount it on the front of our Chevy Traverse like a hood ornament!
And Kyle Mulka also made a new friend. Nom nom nom!

Team Lansing Driving Lansing Built Car to SXSW!
One reason I’m excited to be a part of Chevy’s SXSW Road Trip challenge? Well, the vehicle we’re driving from Lansing to Austin is the Chevy Traverse. And, it is made right here in my hometown of Lansing, Michigan!
